The Real Villains of Climate Change

For a while there I thought my addiction to that wonderful brew, coffee, was the real felon in global warming. After all, my coffee maker uses about 10 amps of electricity, and the more power I use the greater my carbon footprint. (And if you like those weird, cream puff millennial drinks, like the mushy green stuff in a plastic cup with a plastic straw, you may end up killing a colony of ants or something. Ants are people too.)

Thanks to the New York Times I now understand who the real enemies are. Thank God it is not me. Or at least it won’t be for another 7 years. And you younger folk, well, you’re off the hook too.

In an article by Paula Span, NYT, the title reads -- Older People Are Contributing to Climate Change, and Suffering From It.  The point is Older People use more energy thereby causing tornadoes, hurricanes, and early Spring. Why? Because some old cranks have to take certain medications which in turn reduces the body’s ability to regulate its temperature? The consequences? They turn up the heat or air conditioner and so warping the universe of its natural, self-regulating state. It’s a vicious circle. So what to do?

One suggestion in the article is to get those cantankerous, old farts in line. Have them join clubs like “Rise”, Retirees in Service to the Environment. That way we can kill them off faster by convincing them to turn off their air conditioners and so die from heat stroke. And not only that, we can make them feel good about contributing to a safe, clean planet for future generations of Younger People.

So remember -- check your Palm Life Clock, and Watch out for the Sandman!

"America, the radicalized" -- by Jim Vandehei

I'm so glad I deactivated my fb account. It's been maybe 6 months since I last logged on, possibly longer. I can only imagine the arguments going on between some of  people I had listed as friends, especially since the latest spectacle with Brett Kavanaugh hearing. I don't miss it -- at all!

The political wrangling is the worst. It is mentally and physically draining. If there is one thing I learned, it is that most people are not interested in honest and reasonable debate. In his brief article, Jim Vandehei lists some of the reasons why Americans are radicalized.

As always, I blame social media without apology. It is truly the "cancer of our time". Click on the link to read "America, the radicalized". America, the radicalized

Mark Levin -- The Political Bully

I’ve had it with Mark Levin.  He’s a mean-spirited jerk.  “That’s right. I said it!”

Years ago, when I was driving over the road I was flipping through the radio one night and I found the Mark Levin Show. At first I thought the guy was a nut job. Then I gave him a chance and ended up listening to Mark for years. What I like about him is he’s not a party line cheerleader for the Republicans. If someone isn’t towing the line he says so. He doesn’t cut any slack no matter who they are or what political party they belong.

Another thing I like about Mark is you won’t find him giving parroted arguments or talking points you would expect from other radio hosts. Depending on the complexity of the argument he might use political philosophy and history to back up his point. Sometimes he would read long quotes from our founding fathers and writers of the Constitution. I especially love it when he talks about history. Make no mistake -- Mark Levin is the real deal, a true blue Constitutional Conservative.

What put me over the edge was a show I was listening to on Podcast the other day. A guy calls in and says, “Thank you for taking my call. It’s an honor to speak to you.” The topic was the health care bill recently passed by the House. The caller said he liked the bill because it kept the precondition rule.

He didn’t have insurance and said, “…it’s cheaper to pay when I need to go to the doctor.”

Then Mark said, “Let’s say you have catastrophe, am I supposed to pay for that?”

The caller, “No sir.”

Mark, “Oh yes, but I have to because then you have a preexisting condition.”

The caller, “This is true.”

Mark, “Yeah, so you know what you are?”

The caller doesn’t answer.

Mark repeats the question, “So do you know what you are?”

There’s a pause.

Mark, “You’re a parasite.”

The caller may have a been a liberal operative, who knows. Occasionally a few slip by “Mr. Call Screener” and try to entangle Mark on questions and so on. The caller, however, seemed to be a genuine Mark Levin fan.

It’s one thing to bad mouth politicians in Washington. I’ve done my share. If Mark continues to attack his fans he’ll find himself without an audience and maybe even lose a few advertisers. It was Mark’s passion that first got my attention, but he should use a little discretion on who should be on the receiving end of it.

What I Wanted To Say But Someone Beat Me To It

You ain't seen nothing yet. The Leftists or Social Communists, (they're all the same) for the next 4 years will do everything in their power to unseat Trump from the Whitehouse. They haven't wasted any time. They've already begun. The fake news, lies, the bogus stories, all of which so far has blown up in their faces. But it doesn't matter. You think the news, social media, and politics are sleazy now, just you wait.

As Eric Dixon said in his article, as far as the left is concerned -- the rule of law be damned.

Get ready for the sleaziest, bottom of the barrel attacks against Trump, his supporters, and Constitutional conservatives such as you have never seen. You can read Eric's article here: The Left's Era of Dread

Back Into The Fray...I Guess

I said I would stop commenting on political issues. I said I was out of politics. I'm hopeless.

It's like the scene in one of godfather movies where what's his name, the son of the godfather, is sitting in the kitchen with his wife and he says something like, "Every time I want out they keep drawing me back in!"

I use to be an avid news reader. There were certain websites I had bookmarked and spent a lot of time looking into things. I had to because I was debating certain people on f/suck, you know, those wacky Left Wing Democrats. Talking about "headbutting" your keyboard. Man O' Man, I never thought wrangling about political and social issues could get me so fired up!

What used to bug me were hacks who had no idea of what they were talking about. Do you know people actually copy paste whole arguments from other websites and claim it as their own? Unabashed Plagiarism. It's true. I knew a guy who did it all the time. The pathetic thing was all his fb friends thought he was so smart.

I finally had to put an end to it. Now I can proudly boast that I am no longer an active participant on fb. I mean it. I don't argue with people anymore. I don't click "like" except maybe once a while, and when I do it is not on political comments or memes.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm a expert on political theory, history, or can talk at great length on social issues and the like, but I know what I know. I spent a lot time on certain issues just so I could write half way intelligently about it.

What prompted this little post was something I read. Apparently Sanders (the commie) claims Trump (the liberal hack) wanted to actually lower the minimum wage. This is a quote from Trump defending his position:

"In fact, some of the folks on your network said, 'Wow that was really a lie; he said that I wanted to go less than minimum wage' — this is a new one because I'm the one Republican that said in some cases we have to go more than minimum wage, but what I like is states," -- Business Insider -Pamela Engel

Now I want to make one thing absolutely clear. I am not a intellectual snob. Never underestimate someone who talks or writes like an moron. You may think someone is dumb by the way they look or talk, but let me tell you my friend, in some cases they can run intellectual circles around you if you keep your mouth shut long enough.

That said, I am not convinced this applies to Trump. Listen to the what he says.  "...but I what I like is states". Are you kidding me? This is the man who might be President of United States? And who are these people who nominated him for the Republican party?

When I think about the candidates Americans are choosing it absolutely baffles me. (don't get me started on Obama and Hilary) But Trump? There must be a Sci-Fi explanation for this. There has to be. Like maybe the state of affairs in another Possible World is somehow colliding with our world and we can't tell the difference. Yeah, that's it! It must be!

I'm Staying Out of Poltics, But...

I received an advertisement for a local church last week. On the front of the card there are two photos juxtaposed of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. On the back of the card is says, "Polls would indicate that a vast majority are disappointed with both options."  Then it goes on talking about a "third-party" -- God's Kingdom. Nice segue I guess.

Whether the polls would or do suggest a vast majority are not please with the candidates I don't know. I do know as a conservative I am definitely not please with Trump. I was talking with a friend the other day about how things turned out. He said, "It's almost surreal." I couldn't agree more. So who's to blame? Again, it's is willful ignorance: Ignorance and The Great Books.

Trump is not a conservative any more than Hilary is.

The frustration this primary election, heck, the last 8 years under Obama has cast a foreboding cloud over this great country. It shows. You see it in peoples faces. People form all walks of life talk about what's happening in the U.S and globally with concern, disgust, and dejection under this President. His administration is and has transformed this nation just like he said. And yes, the phony republicans in congress have done nothing to stop him. We are literally and figuratively bleeding out in so many ways. After this I'm done with politics. Well, at least on this blog I am.

Enough of my rant. So is Trump a conservative. No. I doubt he's even read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. If he's elected he'll probably need a tutor to bring him up to speed. But don't take my word for it, read "Trump vs. Reagan: What Is a Conservative? by Ken G. Kengor. Federal regulation of Internet coming, warn FCC, FEC commissioners

We knew this was coming. We know what the Liberal Democrats are up to.They want to silence opposition to their miserably failed ideology. They don't give a darn about your freedom of speech, liberty, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights except where it benefits them. They hate America. They hate our heritage. They despise anything and anyone who speaks against tyranny.Yes, it is the right word. But if they want me to soften it so as not to offend I'll call it "Soft Tyranny".

Better?

Nah, don't think so..."Tyranny" is just fine.

I use AI and I think it’s great. It was strange to me—one day it wasn’t there and the next it was, and everyone was talking about it. Now it...
